(whole) Cumala blanca & roja (white & red)Although the sixty species of Virola are spread throughout tropical forests of the New World and entheogenic principles have been found in at least a dozen species, it is only in the western Amazon and adjacent parts of the Orinoco basin that this genus has been used as the source of a sacred plant. In Peru the common name for Virola is cumala, and exist 2 kinds of cumala: white & red.Virola has been shown by recent studies to be an exceptionally high concentration of tryptamine alkaloids in the resin. Snuff prepared exclusively from the resin of Virola theiodora has up to 8 percent of tryptamines, mainly the highly active 5-methoxy-N, dimethyltryptamine Two new alkaloids of a different type, B-carbolines have also been found in the resin; they act as monoamine oxidase inhibitors and make it possible for the tryptamines to take effect when the resin is taken orally.We can offer both kinds in Resin and Bark. It takes 40 litres liquid resin to make one kilo of dry resin powder! To make the famous "snuff" you need to combine the resin with an alkaloid powder to make it active by nose. Use baking powder, or calcium hydroxid, or sodium bicarbonate, or lime.
