Magic Truffles: What They Are and How to Use Them Safely

Magic truffles are small underground formations that grow on the mycelium of psilocybin mushrooms. They contain psilocybin — the same natural psychedelic compound found in magic mushrooms. While they look different from mushrooms, they produce similar effects and are legal to buy in the Netherlands.

What Do Magic Truffles Do?

After you eat them, your body turns psilocybin into psilocin. This affects your brain in ways that can change your perception of sound, color, time, and thought. Many people describe the experience as deeply emotional or spiritual.

You may notice:

  • Visual effects like moving patterns or bright colors
  • A stronger sense of connection to nature or others
  • Unusual thoughts or insights
  • Deep emotional reflection

A full trip usually lasts 4 to 6 hours. The effects depend on your mood, surroundings, and how much you take.

Are Magic Truffles Legal?

Yes, in the Netherlands magic truffles are fully legal. They are classified differently from mushrooms and can be sold, possessed, and consumed without issues. This makes them a trusted and natural option for those looking for a legal psychedelic experience.

All truffles in our shop are:

  • Grown under lab conditions

How to Take Magic Truffles Safely

Magic truffles are easy to use, but safety and mindset matter. Here are some basic tips:

Start Low

If it’s your first time, begin with a small dose (5–7 grams fresh). Wait at least an hour before deciding to take more.

Chew or Brew

You can chew them well or brew them into tea. Chewing gives a faster effect, while tea is easier on the stomach.

Set & Setting

Use them in a safe, quiet space where you feel comfortable. Avoid busy places or loud environments. If possible, have a sober friend around — a “trip sitter.”

Don’t Mix

Avoid using alcohol or other substances. Truffles on their own are enough.

When to Avoid Magic Truffles

Do not take truffles if:

  • You’re feeling anxious, depressed, or emotionally unstable
  • You’re taking antidepressants or psychiatric medication
  • You have a personal or family history of schizophrenia

Magic truffles are not meant to “escape” reality. They are tools — not quick fixes.

Where to Buy Fresh Magic Truffles

You can order high-quality, lab-tested magic truffles directly from our online shop. We offer:

Final Word

Magic truffles can open new perspectives when used with respect. They’re not party drugs, but natural substances with deep effects. If you approach them with care and curiosity, they can offer valuable insights.

Trichocereus Spachianus – Rare Columnar Cactus with Alkaloids

Freshly harvested from our private cactus farm! Trichocereus spachianus is a striking columnar cactus native to Argentina and a proud member of the Cactaceae family. Also known as “Golden Torch” or “Hairy Torch,” this beautiful species is named after the Greek words thrix (hair) and cereus (torch). In Europe, it’s affectionately referred to as “colonnari” for its upright, towering growth.

Though not as widely recognized as San Pedro or Peruvian Torch, Trichocereus spachianus contains a fascinating spectrum of alkaloids including mescaline, hordenine, N-methyltyramine, candicine, and tyramine. Ethnobotanical interest in this species continues to grow among plant collectors and ceremonial users alike.

Traditional Use & Preparation

Traditionally, the outer skin and flesh are dried and used to brew a ceremonial tea:

  • Grind approx. 10g of dried outer skin
  • Boil in 250ml of water with juice from 2 lemons for 30 minutes
  • Strain through a cloth and repeat the process once more with 1 lemon
  • Combine both extractions and consume slowly over 30–60 minutes

Ideal setting: Nature, candlelight, soft music or incense — always with intention and respect.

Dosage Guidance

Due to variability in alkaloid content, a typical dose ranges from 10 grams of dried outer tissue, which may yield 0.3–0.8g mescaline. Dosage should always be determined experimentally, depending on body weight and individual sensitivity.

Important Considerations

  • Consume slowly to assess tolerance
  • Not recommended for individuals with psychological or heart conditions
  • Mescaline-rich cacti are sacred — always approach with care and reverence

Contents: Ethically harvested, naturally dried outer skin of Trichocereus spachianus.

This cactus is offered for traditional, ceremonial, and ethnobotanical use. Use responsibly and with respect to its origins.
