Lophophora Koehresii (Peyotillo) has gained much attention as a genus because it contains the sacred cactus, known as peyote. Peyote, although widely collected by cactus collectors around the world. Fortunately this close relative is extremely similar in appearance. This physical similarity has even led some to call it “False Peyote.” Like true peyote, lophophora koehresii is a great candidate for grafting onto faster-growing root stocks such as San Pedro, blue myrtle and pereskiopsis.
